Hi All,
It is great to see how stock markets react with the latest unemployment and job data today. The great news for wall street cheerers today was : The Labor Department said employers cut 539,000 jobs last month — the fewest in six months and much fewer than analysts had expected.
Sure it will be a great news for stock market to go up , but no one reacts that we still lost more than half million in just another month. The reason this numbers was down as against the last month was pretty simple - There are already very few people left working in all the troubled industries, so of course the new numbers are going to be less.
The blazing truth is that still those who are unemployed before, are still not able to find jobs. Instead of government and analysts focusing on who many previous jobless people are getting jobs, they are more focused of less than expected new jobless numbers.
If they really want to show some numbers, they should release the percentage of jobless people every month against the working numbers. I am pretty sure that number will still be increasing every month. But Instead govt releases the NUMBERS of Jobs, which really is irrelevant without the reference of how many people are we comparing with.
Well may be for wall street and greedy banks, this all might be a elevated sign and so is for everyone’s 401k, but the bitter truth is WE ALL and at least MOST OF US are STILL JOBLESS and working hard to meet our ends. NO ONE IS LOOKING THAT , NO EMPLOYERS ARE OPENING NEW JOBS even after taking BILLIONS of taxpayers dollars. And our government is ignoring this fact blindly and only worrying about feeding more and more money to all BANKS and other greedy institutes.
Hopefully we all together will raise a common voice against the administration for the welfare of the country and its citizens, their benefits and help to get us out of this terrible era of unemployment and financial stress.
Thank you for listening.

The number was down because, the Government added 72,000 new jobs.
These numbers are useless anyway, they do not count people whose benefits have run out. The real number is probably double the 8.9% they came up with. In many cities it’s 30-40%.

Hi Duane,
Thank you for the valuable comment. You are absolutely correct about the continuously growing numbers and unfortunately they are continue to grow, making the crisis we are facing even more deep.
Hopefully we all will see some changes in the favor of every citizen of this country.
